Online Auctions Guide

What is DropShip?

Dropship or drop shipping is a type of retailing where you (the retailer) do not keep goods in stock. Instead, when your customer orders an item, you pass the order along to a distributor who actually stocks the item in their warehouse. The distributor then packs and ships one unit of each item and sends it directly to your customer on your behalf.

All of the products in our network can be drop shipped directly to your customer.

What are the benefits of Drop Shipping?
drop ship
Shipping direct from us to your customer is a money and time-saving alternative to storing product in a warehouse (or garage) in hopes that your customers will order all items in your inventory. If a product is not sold this can be costly, cutting into profits. With drop shipping there is very little investment required, no inventory to manage, and since you sell the item to your customer before you order it from us, you always have positive cash flow. Sell first, buy later!

x Eliminates product inventory costs and headaches
x Products are sold first, then purchased: dramatically improves cash flow and reduces risk
x Reduces labor time and cost by outsourcing the picking, packing and shipping of items
x Eliminates unnecessary freight charges by shipping direct to the end consumer
x Scalable model allows you to offer larger product selection without additional costs or labor
x Increases flexibility and improves your time-to-market: you can start selling today!

Selling Products on Online Auctions
The largest benefit to selling drop shipped products on online auctions is that you can get started right away. You can start selling on the major auction sites within minutes of signing up. However, there are down sides to selling on online auctions. While there are free based services such as Froogle, AutoGearBid,Yahoo Auctions, etc. many other auction sites charges several fees for using their service. Usually, they will charge a listing fee (based on the auction features that you choose) and a closing fee (usually based on a percentage of the final sale value of your auction).

Additionally, online auctions make it very easy for buyers to compare prices on a product among different sellers. This often has the effect of making prices very competitive, and many sellers will sacrifice a portion of their profit margin to make sales.

While profit margins are often slimmer when you sell on online auction sites versus your own website, you may be able to sell a higher volume of products on eBay and other auction sites due to the sheer number of registered buyers on these sites. eBay essentially offers you a ton of free advertising for your products by marketing their network to hundreds of thousands of consumers who may potentially purchase your products.

We recommend watching our tutorial videos to do product research and keyword research prior to listing any items. We will get into more detail later in this tour.
